Submerge grew from my lifelong love of being in and under the water — and from wanting to share the freedom, playfulness and sense of possibility I find there.
Through years of diving, freediving, mermaiding and working with the body, I’ve seen how powerful it can be when we feel safe enough to let go, play and experience ourselves differently.
Submerge is a space to explore that — whether your adventure begins on the shoreline, in a quiet tidal pool or beneath the surface.

An approximately one-hour experience, from meeting your mermaid tail to enjoying a warm cup of rooibos tea afterwards. Private, semi-private and group experiences available. All at your own pace, with gentle guidance and no pressure to go beyond your comfort level.

Prices apply to all guests. A 50% deposit secures a booking once availability is confirmed. Sessions depend on safe weather and ocean conditions.

Do I need experience to try mermaiding?
No previous mermaid experience is needed. We tailor activities to your comfort and swimming ability; you can enjoy the experience in shallow water without pressure to dive.
What should I bring?
Bring swimwear, a towel, water and an adventurous attitude. Exact equipment and preparation details are confirmed with your booking.
Can I book a private photoshoot?
Professional mermaid photoshoots are coming soon. Contact us to register your interest.
How does booking work?
Send your preferred date and group size via WhatsApp. We confirm availability and provide EFT details privately. A 50% deposit secures your booking; the balance is payable before the experience. Weather-related cancellations by Submerge can be rescheduled at no charge, or refunded if no suitable date can be arranged. For guest cancellations with more than 48 hours’ notice, the deposit can be transferred to another available date. Within 48 hours, the deposit is generally forfeited, subject to applicable consumer rights.
Is this a freediving school?
Submerge focuses on mermaid experiences, courses, equipment and photoshoots. Where a specialist qualification or safety requirement applies, we'll explain it before your session.
